Philip L. Mowery joined the Chicago office of Vedder Price in the Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits group in 1988 and became a Shareholder in 1995.

He counsels a variety of corporations in the manufacturing and service industries on all aspects of employee benefits law, including the design, tax qualification, legal compliance, interpretation and communication of retirement plans and welfare benefit plans. He also counsels employers and executives in the negotiation and implementation of executive compensation agreements and programs.

Mr. Mowery is a member of the American Bar Association and is a frequent speaker before legal and other professional organizations. Mr. Mowery was selected for inclusion in 2006, and from 2009 to 2021 in Illinois Super Lawyers. In addition, he received a "BV Distinguished" Peer Rating in Martindale-Hubbell. Legal 500 recognized Mr. Mowery in the Labor and Employment—Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation category. Additionally, he was selected by his peers from 2013 to 2023 as a Leading Lawyer in Employee Benefits.
