Mr. Looby focuses his practice on high-stakes and complex employment cases throughout the United States, including matters involving wage and hour disputes, independent contractor and joint employment issues, discrimination, and retaliation. 

Mr. Looby has extensive experience advising his clients through all phases of litigation, from pre-suit allegations to post-judgment proceedings. Representative matters Mr. Looby has handled include those involving individual and nationwide class and collective action claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and similar state and local laws across the United States. He has also handled matters brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

Mr. Looby has represented clients across a variety of industries, including the automotive, business services, gaming, financial services, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, retail, and telecommunications industries. 

Mr. Looby previously served as law clerk to Judge William J. Bauer of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and Judge Thomas M. Durkin of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. 

In recognition of his exceptional client service, Mr. Looby was named to the 2022 edition of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin’s 40 Under Forty – Illinois Attorneys to Watch list.
