Associate

Elisa Cardano Pérez is an Associate in Vedder Price’s Washington, DC office and a member of the firm’s Investment Services group.

Ms. Cardano Pérez focuses her practice on representing U.S.-registered investment companies and funds, their boards of directors and investment advisers in regulatory compliance and governance matters under U.S. securities laws.

In her pro bono practice, Ms. Cardano Pérez is part of a collaborative effort assisting members of Afghanistan’s only all-female special operations force that were forced to leave Afghanistan in 2021 secure asylum in the United States. She also represents clients on u-visa petitions.

Ms. Cardano Pérez received her law degree from The George Washington University Law School and her undergraduate degree from Northeastern University. While in law school, Ms. Cardano Pérez served as a member of the Federal Communications Law Journal and authored a student note for the Journal. In addition to English, Ms. Cardano Pérez is fluent in Spanish and Italian and proficient in Portuguese.
