Vedder Price Expands Antitrust Regulatory Group with Addition of Litigation Shareholder Brian McCalmon
Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Brian McCalmon has joined the firm as a Shareholder in its Litigation group in the Washington, DC office.
Mr. McCalmon focuses his practice on Antitrust & Trade Regulation, defending corporations and individuals in civil investigations by government entities such as the Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and state attorneys general. A majority of his practice is in mergers and acquisitions investigations before DOJ, FTC and state attorneys general. His representations have included 20 years of merger clearances in a wide range of industries, including waste services, paper and paperboard, airlines, medical devices, funeral services, security screening, pharmaceuticals and telecommunications. He also handles government monopolization and price-fixing investigations, civil antitrust and class action litigation, and unfair and deceptive trade practice investigations before the FTC.

Prior to joining Vedder Price, Mr. McCalmon was a Partner at K&L Gates in Washington, DC. His past experience includes multiple representations in nearly every aspect of healthcare, including providers, pharmaceutical companies, laboratory testing services and medical devices. He has also led multiple representations in every aspect of the product lifecycle – from licensing to manufacturing, transportation, distribution and finally to disposal or recycling.
