Vedder Price is pleased to announce the addition of attorney Kate F. Buckley as a new Shareholder in the firm’s New York office.

Buckley will join the firm’s Finance and Transactions group, bringing more than 19 years of experience to Vedder Price in her new role.

“Kate is a strategic addition to our New York office and to the firm overall,” said Vedder Price President and CEO Michael A. Nemeroff. “She brings extensive private equity and mergers and acquisitions experience that enhances our NY and national M&A practices to meet the evolving needs of our clients, and we look forward to having her as a key member of our team.”

At Vedder Price, Buckley will focus on representing private equity funds, portfolio companies and public and private companies in the structuring, negotiation and documentation of mergers and acquisitions. Other primary areas of focus for Buckley include representing debt and balance sheet restructurings, joint ventures, rollover transactions, secured lending facilities and divestures.  

Prior to joining the firm, Buckley spent the previous four years as a partner with Eisner LLP helping lead the corporate practice group. Previous to that role, she spent more than 15 years with Dentons US LLP and was elevated to partner in 2015.

Buckley received her law degree from DePaul University College of Law and her undergraduate degree from Middlebury College.
