Ms. McCann focuses her legal practice on defending employment-related claims, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations. She represents employers in litigation matters in federal and state court, as well as before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New York State Division of Human Rights. 

Ms. McCann assists employers in the development of policies and procedures and counsels clients on litigation avoidance and employment issues including leaves of absence, disability and pregnancy accommodation, employee discipline and termination issues, and on compliance with federal and state wage laws.

Ms. McCann works extensively with the firm’s corporate team conducting due diligence review in mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. She advises clients on employment-related risks in both stock and asset acquisitions and counsels on WARN and OWBPA requirements.

Ms. McCann currently serves on the firm’s Pro Bono Committee.  Her pro bono practice includes asylum and other immigration-related cases, as well as disability rights cases and ADA claims.

Ms. McCann received her law degree from Fordham University School of Law, and her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from New York University.
