Javier "Javy" Lopez is a Shareholder in Vedder Price's Miami office and a member of the firm's Litigation practice area. Mr. Lopez focuses his practice on complex commercial, business and civil litigation in U.S. federal and state courts. He has extensive experience representing high-profile companies and individuals in a wide range of legal matters, including contract and business disputes, commercial transactions, intellectual property matters, fraud, defamation, class actions and shareholder disputes. Mr. Lopez is a seasoned trial lawyer and was lead counsel in securing one of the top 10 largest jury verdicts in the State of Florida and one of the highest settlements in the United States in 2022
Tomasz Kulawik, Washington, DC Office
Tomasz Kulawik is a Shareholder in Vedder Price’s Washington, DC office and a member of the firm’s Finance & Transactions group. Mr. Kulawik focuses his practice on leveraged finance and all types of secured lending, including acquisition financings, asset-based lending and refinancings in both the syndicated and direct lending spaces, both domestically and in Europe and in Latin America.

Jason DuVall is a Shareholder in Vedder Price’s Dallas office and a member of the firm’s Finance & Transactions group. Mr. DuVall has extensive experience in corporate M&A matters, having represented numerous financial institutions, private equity funds, mezzanine funds, agent banks, borrowers and other institutional investors. Hoyoon Nam is a Shareholder at Vedder Price and a member of the Global Transportation Finance (GTF) team in the firm's New York office. Mr. Nam frequently represents banks, investment funds, corporate borrowers and financial sponsors in connection with financing and restructuring transactions. Jeremy M. Alexander is a Shareholder in Vedder Price’s Washington, DC office and Chair of the Health Care & Life Sciences practice group. Todd F. Lurie, Washington, D.C. Office
Todd F. Lurie is a Shareholder at Vedder Price and a member of the Investment Services group in the firm’s Washington, DC office. He focuses his practice on cleared and non-cleared derivatives, and investment management advising, including fund formation and regulation. Before entering private practice, Mr. Lurie was Vice President and Associate General Counsel for MetLife, where he was responsible for strategic advisory for MetLife’s global derivatives platform, including documentation, transactional review and engagement with state, federal and global regulators. Over the course of his career, Mr. Lurie has also spent several years working for corporate financial institutions.

Adam L. Schwartz is a Shareholder at Vedder Price and a member of the Chambers USA-ranked Government Investigations & White Collar Defense team in the firm's Miami office. Michael Wahlander’s practice is focused on all aspects of labor and employment litigation, including wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation, harassment and wrongful termination cases, and issues arising under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act.
