Introducing Vedder Price’s Diverse Attorney Initiative: Vedder Diverse
The Diversity Committee of the law firm of Vedder Price is pleased to announce the launch of a Diverse Attorneys initiative. “Vedder Diverse” will promote and support the firm’s recruitment, retention and advancement of diverse attorneys, while giving those attorneys additional opportunities to expand their practices. While focused on diversity matters, Vedder Diverse intends to provide training and guidance to all Vedder attorneys, male and female.
Vedder Diverse, with support from the Diversity Committee, will sponsor programming across all offices, including networking and business development events, discussions, informational lunches and mentoring relationships.
Shareholders David Hernandez, Ji Kim, Joseph Kye, Andrew Torre and Alain Villeneuve have agreed to co-chair this initiative and to lead activities in their respective offices.
Vedder Diverse will host its inaugural event on July 21 in all five of the U.S. offices. The event will feature a panel of clients, offering insight and guidance on the business case for diversity in the firm when it comes to attracting clients and sustaining successful long-term client relationships. Joseph Kye will act as panel moderator.
“I’m very excited to be involved with the new Vedder Diverse initiative,” said Joseph Kye. “The launch event is the perfect forum to engage with our attorneys and reflect on why diversity is so important from many different perspectives.”
