Associate

Elizabeth (Liz) J. Baxter is an Associate in Vedder Price’s Washington, DC office and a member of the firm’s Investment Services group.

Ms. Baxter focuses her practice on representing U.S.-registered investment companies and funds, their boards of directors and investment advisers in regulatory compliance and governance matters under U.S. securities laws. 

Prior to joining Vedder Price, Ms. Baxter assisted staff attorneys at the SEC with researching legal issues and writing memoranda on securities law topics. In addition, she argued on behalf of DC’s Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs at trials before the Office of Administrative Hearings and negotiated settlements.

Ms. Baxter received her law degree from The George Washington University Law School and her undergraduate degree from The George Washington University.  While in law school Ms. Baxter worked in the Rising for Justice Clinic. 

Ms. Baxter is conversant in Arabic.
