London Employment Associate Daniel Stander recently contributed to a lead story for Personnel Today, in which he discussed a recent employment case in Leeds involving an employee who was subjected to harassment and victimization by her employer.

Mr. Stander weighs in on the case and shares his thoughts about how the employer could have better handled the investigation stating, “A properly conducted investigation will enable the employer to make an informed decision after a full consideration of all the relevant facts. This case demonstrates that making a decision without first carrying out a reasonable investigation can potentially make that decision unfair or even discriminatory in itself, and leave employers exposed to significant legal and reputational risks.”
