London Employment Attorney Daniel Stander was recently quoted in an HR Grapevine article about workplace conduct and the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab. Raab resigned on Friday, following an independent investigation into formal complaints of bullying that were made against him.
Stander comments on the importance of being prepared for whatever results may arise when undergoing a workplace investigation: “No workplace investigation should be undertaken lightly unless there is real buy in from those instructing. Organisations need to be prepared to take action depending on the findings which are made, however difficult these may appear. In today’s business environment, it is not really an option to ‘bury the report’ given the expectations of accountability and transparency investors, employees and other stakeholders hold.”
