Daniel Stander Authors Article on Disability Discrimination Tribunal Cases in People Management
London Employment Associate Daniel Stander recently authored an article for People Management, reviewing recent claims and providing an update on the government’s consultation on disability workforce reporting.
Stander reviewed two cases, McKenzie v University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and Burke v Turning Point Scotland, and provides insight for each. “These cases demonstrate that once an employer has been put on notice that an employee has a potential disability, it is generally incumbent on it to seek expert medical evidence on the extent of the issue and effect on the employee’s ability to carry out their job,” says Stander.
