Junaid A. Zubairi, a Vedder Price Shareholder and Chair of the firm's Government Enforcement & Special Investigations practice, will participate in the upcoming ABA webinar "Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and Anti-Corruption Laws in Construction Contracting" on November 5.
The seminar will cover the basics of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and anti-bribery, anti-money laundering and anti-corruption policies that construction companies should implement when dealing with a foreign entity or working in a foreign country. The session will also provide tips on how these enforcement rules affect contracting methods and how to protect a business with appropriate contract clauses.
