Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Benjamin O. Williams has been selected as one of Savoy Magazine's 2024 Most Influential Lawyers.

A Shareholder in Vedder Price’s Chicago office and a member of the firm’s Finance & Transaction group, Williams was selected for inclusion as a result of his contributions to the legal profession.

This honor is only given to the most influential lawyers and the selection process is based on Savoy’s stringent criteria, which includes prominence of the law firm, respect amongst peers, community outreach and overall career success.

Williams regularly advises a variety of clients across multiple industries in the structuring and negotiation of mergers, stock acquisitions, asset acquisitions, auctions, carve-outs, divestitures, bolt-on acquisitions, tuck-in acquisitions, 363 transactions, restructurings, leveraged and management buyouts, recapitalizations, venture capital transactions, private equity fund formations, joint ventures (including real estate joint ventures), co-investments and minority investments.

Williams also serves as the outside general counsel to various middle-market and closely held companies. He counsels companies on formation and governance issues, business and corporate laws, securities rules and regulations, employee contracts and compensation arrangements, in addition to negotiating commercial, vendor and customer contracts for clients including licensing agreements, distribution agreements and supply, manufacturing and development agreements.
