Vedder Price Represents Client on Pioneering Green Lease
Vedder Price is pleased to announce it has closed the first UK Green Lease for client South West Water.
Pennon Group and its subsidiaries South West Water and Viridor are at the vanguard of sustainable finance in the UK. This £30m Green Finance Lease has been completed with HSBC in accordance with the Green Loan Principles released in March this year and the Group’s sustainable finance framework. The transaction will be used to help finance South West Water’s cutting edge Mayflower Water Treatment Works in Devon.
Vedder Price Partner Dylan Potter represented South West Water on this sustainable financing. “We are proud to have partnered with Pennon and South West Water on this pioneering green transaction," said Mr. Potter. "The innovative use of the Green Loan Principles in a leasing context opens up sustainable finance to new areas. It is testament to the Group’s environmental focus and we hope it will also inspire others to think green.”
