Vedder Price Hosts Group from Chicago-Kent College of Law Executive Program for Chinese Law Practitioners
On June 20, 2013, a group of 14 Chinese lawyers visited Vedder Price’s Chicago office as part of the Chicago-Kent College of Law Executive Program for Chinese Law Practitioners. The guests met with a multidisciplinary group of Vedder Price attorneys, including Shareholders Angelo J. Bufalino and Christopher T. Collins and Associates Joshua A. Dunn, Stephanie K. Hor-Chen, John E. Munro, Bradley A. Richards and Bradley W. West. While at Vedder Price, the Chinese lawyers had an opportunity to learn firsthand about the practice of law in the United States and to forge mutually beneficial relationships with their American counterparts.
Each year, the program brings a new group of Chinese lawyers to Chicago for three weeks of study on substantive areas of U.S. law, as well as law firm management. In addition to classroom instruction by Chicago-Kent professors and highly regarded local practitioners, the “trainees” make organized trips to Chicago law firms, courts, bar associations and the trading exchanges.
