Vedder Price Expands Miami Office with Addition of White Collar Criminal Defense Litigator Adam Schwartz
Vedder Price is pleased to announce the addition of veteran attorney Adam Schwartz as a Shareholder in the Miami office for the firm’s Litigation practice area, working in the Government Investigations and White Collar Defense Group.
“As we continue to expand our Miami office and presence in the region, we are very excited to welcome Adam as part of our litigation practice team there,” said Tom Cimino, Shareholder and Chair for the Litigation practice area. “His experience and knowledge make Adam an outstanding addition to our overall capabilities to meet the white collar, SEC and commercial litigation needs of our clients, and we are happy to be able to add him to our team.”
Schwartz brings private practice experience from working with other firms, as well as several years of experience working as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Economic Crimes Section of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida and as Senior Trial Counsel for the Securities and Exchange Commission.
In his new role working in the Government Investigations and White Collar Defense Group, Schwartz brings the firm extensive experience in the areas of white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, SEC enforcement matters, health care fraud, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations, and anti-money laundering, among others.
“Vedder Price already has a significant footprint in the government investigations space within multiple regions across the country,” said Junaid Zubairi, Shareholder and Chair of the Government Investigations and White Collar Defense Group. “Adding Adam to our Miami office significantly strengthens and expands our foothold nationally and within Florida as well.”
Other areas of focus for Schwartz’s practice include banking, SPAC-related issues, government regulatory matters, EB-5 investment fraud, securities litigation, and complex civil litigation.
Schwartz received his law degree from Stanford Law School and his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, summa cum laude.
