Vedder Price Expands Investment Services Group with Addition of Shareholder Todd Lurie
Vedder Price is pleased to announce the addition of veteran attorney Todd Lurie as a new Shareholder in the Washington, DC, office working in the Corporate Investment Services group.
Lurie brings extensive global experience in the areas of cleared and non-cleared derivatives, investment management advisory, including fund formation, and regulation, among others. Prior to joining the firm, he spent more than 18 years at MetLife, Inc., where he was responsible for strategic advisory for MetLife’s global derivatives platform, including documentation, transactional review and engagement with state, federal and global regulators.
“Adding Todd to our Washington office brings significant depth and strategic experience at a global level, that will in turn greatly benefit our clients,” said Marguerite Bateman, Shareholder and Co-Chair of Vedder Price’s Investment Services group. “Todd also brings with him numerous financial and insurance-focused business relationships built over the span of his career, and we are thrilled to welcome him and his collaborative approach to the firm.”
Lurie’s additional areas of experience include advising on insurance M&A, reinsurance securitizations, pension risk transfer transactions and structured credit transactions. Over the course of his career, Lurie has also spent several years working for corporate financial institutions and representing clients during time spent with other national law firms.
Lurie received his law degree from New York University and his undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta.
