Vedder Price Expands Global Transportation Finance Team into Los Angeles with Strategic Shareholder Hire
Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Raviv Surpin has joined the firm's Los Angeles office as a Shareholder on the Global Transportation Finance (GTF) team.
Having focused on commercial aircraft finance for nearly 20 years, Mr. Surpin has amassed significant experience representing and counseling operating lessors, borrowers, finance companies, manufacturers and investors in all manner of aircraft finance transactions. Prior to joining Vedder Price, Mr. Surpin served as Vice President & Corporate Counsel at International Lease Finance Corporation/AerCap (ILFC/AerCap), the world’s largest global aircraft operating lessor, where he advised senior management in financing and securitization matters and was instrumental in the extraction of aircraft from difficult jurisdictions.
"Given his significant experience in aircraft finance and complex transportation finance transactions, Raviv is an ideal choice to expand Vedder’s world-class GTF team to Los Angeles and its robust large-ticket aircraft leasing market," said Michael A. Nemeroff, President and CEO of Vedder Price.

Mr. Surpin attended University of York, York Law School and received his B.A. degree from the University of Oxford. In addition to English, he is also fluent in Portuguese, Hebrew and Spanish. Mr. Surpin is admitted to practice as a Solicitor in England and Wales and is admitted to the California bar.
