Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Kassem Bazzi, a second-year law student at the University of Michigan Law School, has been named the recipient of the firm’s 2025 2L Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship.

This marks the 19th year Vedder Price has awarded Diversity & Inclusion Scholarships, which provide both a monetary award and placement in the firm’s Summer Associate Program.

Bazzi will participate in the firm’s 2025 Summer Associate Program and work within the Finance & Transactions and Global Transportation Finance teams in the Chicago office. He received his Bachelor of Science degree with High Distinction from the University of Michigan. At the University of Michigan Law School, Bazzi is a Dean’s List scholarship recipient and a member of the Business Law Association, Intellectual Property Student Association and Muslim Law Student Association.

“Coming from a multicultural background and being a first-generation law student, I was drawn to Vedder Price’s dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment,” Bazzi said. “The firm’s collaborative culture and commitment to mentorship make it the ideal place for me to grow as a legal professional. I look forward to learning from Vedder Price’s talented attorneys this upcoming summer and building the skills I need to succeed as a future attorney.”

“We are very happy to welcome Kassem to our firm next summer,” said Andrew Torre, Chair of Vedder Price’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee. “We look forward to working with him during the Summer Associate Program as he continues to learn and advance in his legal career.”
