Vedder Price Adds Veteran Litigator and Former SEC Enforcement Attorney Michael J. Quinn from K&L Gates
Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Michael J. Quinn has joined the firm as a Shareholder in the Litigation practice area and Government Enforcement & Special Investigations group in the Los Angeles office.
“Michael adds to our growing litigation presence on the West Coast and enhances the government enforcement and white collar practice we are building nationally,” says Junaid Zubairi, Chair of the firm’s Government Enforcement & Special Investigations group. “Given his prior experience at the SEC and his solid reputation among the enforcement bar, Michael regularly handles complex SEC and other litigation and regulatory matters in Los Angeles and across the country.”
Mr. Quinn focuses his practice on government investigations and securities litigation. His extensive experience in complex litigation includes handling regulatory or disciplinary proceedings, class action lawsuits and arbitrations and routinely leading internal investigations on behalf of public and private companies involving a wide range of issues such as whistleblower claims, fraud, embezzlement and accounting irregularities.
Additionally, Mr. Quinn has successfully represented public companies, broker-dealers, officers and directors, investment advisers and individuals in a wide range of complex matters, including civil litigation and investigations by the SEC, DOJ, FINRA and state securities regulators or attorneys general.
Prior to joining Vedder Price, Michael was a partner at K&L Gates, and was previously a Staff Attorney with the SEC, Division of Enforcement in the Los Angeles regional office. At the SEC, he investigated and litigated securities fraud cases, including matters involving offering frauds, market manipulation, insider trading and accounting fraud. He received his J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, his M.B.A. at Loyola Marymount University and earned his undergraduate degree from UCLA.
