Twombly/Iqbal Standard: Vedder Price Identifies Judicial Application Trends in Antitrust
Gregory G. Wrobel, Shareholder and Chair of Vedder Price’s Antitrust practice group, published the article “Judicial Application of the Twombly/Iqbal Plausibility Standard in Antitrust Cases” in the Fall 2011 issue of the ABA’s Antitrust with co-authors Michael J. Waters and Joshua Dunn, both Associates and members of the firm’s Litigation practice area.
The article discusses current trends among courts in the application of the Twombly/Iqba l standard (T/I standard) in antitrust claims. The authors include summaries of several court decisions in which the T/I standard was applied, which illustrate the widely divergent approaches in the factual content, analytical methods and depth of analysis utilized to rule on motions to dismiss antitrust claims.
