Shareholder Jeanah Park Named a Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity
We are pleased to announce that Shareholder Jeanah Park has been named to the 2019 class of Fellows of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). LCLD is an organization of more than 275 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who have dedicated themselves to creating a truly diverse U.S. legal profession. Their programs are designed to attract, inspire and nurture talent within organizations to help a new and more diverse generation of attorneys ascend to positions of leadership. The class of Fellows participates in a landmark program to identify, train and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.
Ms. Park, who is also Chair of Vedder Price’s Diversity Committee, said “It is an honor that the firm feels that I have the leadership attributes to be selected as an LCLD Fellow. LCLD’s mission is consistent with the firm’s strong commitment to diversity. I look forward to the opportunity to take part in the professional development and relationship-building that this program has to offer.”
Venu Talanki, the firm’s 2018 LCLD Fellow, said “LCLD’s Fellows program is immensely rewarding. I gained a great deal from exchanging ideas with the other Fellows and attending the Fellows Meetings, Leadership Lunches and a Learning Experience.”
This year, Vedder Price also expanded its partnership with LCLD by participating in the Pathfinders program. Associate Meg Inomata was selected to be a member of LCLD’s 2019 class of Pathfinders who take part in a program that trains high-performing, early-career attorneys in critical career development.
According to LCLD President Robert J. Grey, Jr., both of these programs offer “intensive in-person training, online experiential learning and opportunities to network with peers and esteemed LCLD Fellows in small group gatherings.
“We believe these are programs that can help catapult a person’s career forward.”
