San Francisco Labor and Employment Shareholder Cheryl Sabnis was featured in the new article “Uber and Lyft’s Appeal in California Labor Case Won’t Be Heard by Supreme Court” by Rachael Myrow for KQED News.

The article discusses the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision not to hear an appeal by ride-share companies Uber and Lyft, allowing individualized claims for relief to proceed in court rather than be compelled to arbitration. The claims are part of lawsuits filed by the Attorney General of California and certain city attorneys challenging the classification of drivers as independent contractors.
