Michael L. Schein, Vedder Price Shareholder and a member of the Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights group, will speak at the 2013 Annual Conference of the International Bar Association (IBA), held in Boston on October 7–11, 2013. During the week-long conference, a variety of global issues will be discussed in over 200 working sessions covering all aspects of international law.

Mr. Schein will serve as co-chair and co-moderator for the presentation titled "How Much Is That Doggie in the Window: The Acquisition of Distressed Companies and Their Assets." This session is presented by the IBA’s Corporate and M&A Law Committee, and by the Reorganizations and Workouts Subcommittee of the Insolvency Section. The panel, comprised of lawyers and distressed M&A professionals, will discuss the strategies available to distressed companies, stakeholders and entities looking to buy distressed companies and/or their assets.
