Mr. Coven focuses his practice on transactions involving commercial aircraft, asset securitizations, rail finance and general equipment finance. He counsels clients from the aviation, maritime and rail industries, as well as lessees and operating lessors, borrowers and commercial lenders, private and public companies, finance companies, private equity firms, manufacturers, underwriters and governmental agencies engaged in financing transactions utilizing transportation assets.

Prior to joining Vedder Price, Mr. Coven worked for a Texas law firm where he focused on complex transactional matters, including commercial lending, purchase and sale transactions, corporate restructuring, business formation and mergers and acquisitions. He also advised clients on commercial loans, corporate and partnership reorganizations, and estate planning matters. 

Mr. Coven received his law degree cum laude from SMU Dedman School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University. While in law school, Mr. Coven served as Articles Editor of the Science and Technology Law Review and as a judicial extern for the Honorable Amos L. Mazzant III of the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Texas.
