Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Nathaniel Segal, an Associate in the firm's Investment Services group, was recently included in the 2015 "Rising Stars of Mutual Funds" by the editors of two investment management industry publications, Fund Action and Fund Directions.

The 12 awardees were nominated by their mentors, peers and colleagues, with additional research and determination of the final list made by editors of Fund Action and Fund Directions based on leadership in their profession, firm and/or industry; outstanding contributions to innovations, product development, client service, sales and/or growth in assets or returns; and active contribution to the broader mutual fund community, among other qualifications. The "Rising Stars" will be recognized at the 22nd Annual Mutual Fund Industry Awards to be held on March 26, 2015 in New York.

Mr. Segal has substantial experience counseling investment companies, their board members and investment advisers on a broad range of regulatory, compliance and transactional matters arising under U.S. federal securities laws, particularly the Investment Company Act of 1940. He also advises the independent board members of investment companies on corporate governance matters, including in connection with their review of advisory and distribution contracts. Mr. Segal was recently recognized as a 2015 Illinois Rising Star in Securities & Corporate Finance Practice by Super Lawyers Magazine.
