Labor and Employment Shareholder, Amy L. Bess, was recently quoted in the Business Insurance Magazine article titled, “More Men Filing Sexual Harassment, Bias Claims.” The article suggests that male sexual harassment and gender discrimination claims are on the rise due to an increased awareness of men’s rights under the law, in addition to the ailing economy and resultant competitive job market.

Said Ms. Bess, “As employers are becoming more cognizant of the need to have a balanced workforce, I think men are becoming aware of their rights under the federal discrimination laws.”

Amy L. Bess concentrates her practice on employment litigation. Her experience includes the representation of employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, defending against claims of sex, race, disability and age discrimination, sexual harassment, whistleblowing, restrictive covenant disputes, wrongful termination and wage and hour violations.
