Ms. Jones focuses her practice on a broad range of complex tax issues with an emphasis on entities, family offices and individuals. She assists clients in domestic, international and multijurisdictional tax and corporate planning relating to startup company and entity formation, investment entity structuring and the acquisition, disposition and restructuring of businesses, corporations and partnerships. 

With extensive experience in the technology and energy industries, Ms. Jones advises both entrepreneurs and companies on a variety of matters, including digital assets, blockchain technology, NFTs, energy credits and related tax issues. Her experience with startup entities extends from the startup phase, through a recognition event and then as a public company.

A substantial portion of Ms. Jones’s practice includes personal estate planning, family succession planning and family office structuring. She also works with clients on complex estates and investment holdings, crafting both foundational plans and more complex structures. She advises foreign individuals and entities moving to the United States on pre-immigration, income, gift and estate tax planning opportunities and helps those leaving the United States or California.

Ms. Jones brings a unique perspective to the firm, having previously worked as an investment banker, handling mergers and acquisitions and public and private securities offerings. She is also very active in the legal community locally and at the state level, holding positions on the USC Tax Institute Planning Committee and the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA). She is a California Certified Income Tax Specialist.
