Jeffrey Brand, Managing Director, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc., focuses on merger and acquisition, capital markets and valuation activities for Midwestern financial institutions. Mr. Brand has over a decade of investment banking experience and has been involved in transactions totaling over $5B in the last nine years.
James Hemmer, Managing Director, Sandler O’Neill & Partners L.P., is a veteran investment banker with extensive experience in the financial services industry. He has held a number of prominent positions in investment banking firms. Most recently, he was a Sr. Vice President of Lehman Brothers with responsibility for advising banks, thrifts and other financial institutions on mergers and acquisitions.
Jerry L. Miller is President of Regulatory Compliance Associates, Inc. (also known as REGCOM), the firm he established to provide regulatory compliance products and services for financial institutions. The firm has provided consulting assistance to accounting firms, trade associations, financial institutions, regulatory agencies and other firms supporting or dealing with the financial services industry.
Charles K. Smith has responsibility for managing Sandler O’Neill Mortgage Finance, L.P. In that capacity he guides the company in securitizations and sales and acquisitions of all types of real estate loans. His experience in the mortgage banking industry spans over 25 years. In the last eight years, an excess of $23B in product has been executed under his guidance.
