Lauren E. Wertheimer

Associate

Lauren E. Wertheimer is an Associate in Vedder Price’s Los Angeles office and a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment group.

Ms. Wertheimer represents and defends multi-state corporations across various industries on all aspects of employment litigation, including allegations of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour issues, reasonable accommodation and independent contractor issues as well as workplace torts, including defamation and emotional distress. She also counsels clients in all of these areas, presents training seminars and speaks to employer groups on avoiding workplace problems. 

Ms. Wertheimer also represents clients in the defense of wage and hour class actions under California law in both state and federal courts, including PAGA representative actions, on issues including overtime, minimum wage, meal periods, rest breaks, wage statements, working off the clock and PAGA penalties.

Ms. Wertheimer received her law degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Law and her B.A. in Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
