Kevin P. Connelly, Eric J. Marcotte Join Forces to Establish New Government Contracts Practice
Kevin P. Connelly and Eric J. Marcotte have joined Vedder Price as Shareholders in the firm’s Washington, DC office and have established a new Government Contracts practice group, bringing over 50 years’ combined experience in handling government contract and litigation matters. Mr. Connelly comes to Vedder Price after 27 years with Seyfarth Shaw LLP, where he was Chair of the Government Contracts practice group, and Mr. Marcotte joins the firm from Winston & Strawn LLP, where he was also head of the Government Contracts practice.
Both Mr. Connelly and Mr. Marcotte have decades of experience representing clients in high-stakes matters involving contracts with U.S. federal and state agencies. These include bid protests involving multibillion-dollar awards, government investigations, suspension and debarment cases, multimillion-dollar contract claims, audits and a host of other matters.
Mr. Connelly and Mr. Marcotte have successfully represented clients before every major federal agency, numerous state agencies and international governments. Both attorneys have extensive experience serving in matters as lead counsel before the Government Accountability Office, U.S. Court of Federal Claims, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, U.S. District Court and in other settings. Both attorneys also maintain active counseling practices that include the implementation and maintenance of effective compliance programs designed to help avoid disputes.

Kelly E. Buroker also joined the firm in the Washington, DC office as an Associate from Seyfarth Shaw.
Mr. Connelly received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Maryland and a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School. Mr. Marcotte received a bachelor of science degree magna cum laude from Park College and a Juris Doctor with honors from The University of Texas School of Law.
