Junaid Zubairi to Speak at PLI’s Internal Investigations 2017 Program
Shareholder and Chair of the firm's Government Enforcement and Special Investigations practice group, Junaid A. Zubairi, will speak during PLI's Internal Investigations 2017 program at the University of Chicago Gleacher Center on June 7. The seminar is intended for inside and outside counsel, internal auditors, compliance officers, forensic accountants and other related industry professionals, and will focus on how to conduct efficient and effective internal investigations as a means of protecting your clients and/or company.
Mr. Zubairi will moderate the session on “Conducting the Internal Investigation.” He and his panel will discuss considerations, processes and procedures of an internal investigation as well as privilege issues and ethical traps to avoid.
Mr. Zubairi’s second session, titled "Regulator's Roundtable," will include co-panel members from the SEC and DOJ. The panel will cover a range of topics including the regulators’ perspectives on internal investigations and on how companies navigate whistleblower issues, how to disclose the investigation to regulators, Dodd-Frank reform, challenges posed by international investigations and much more.
