Jordan R. Labkon, a Shareholder in Vedder Price’s Chicago office and member of the firm’s Global Transportation Finance team, co-authored an article for Airline Economics Global Aviation & Leasing Guide.

The article, “CORSIA Creates Compliance Complexities for Aviation Financiers,” discusses the International Civil Aviation Organization’s plan to control aviation carbon dioxide emissions, referred to as the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). Mr. Labkon covers the requirements of CORSIA and the process of incorporating those requirements into law as well as the risks and challenges for aircraft owners/lessors posed by the enforcement of said requirements.
