Employment Partner and Chair of the UK/EU Employment Law Committee, Jonathan Maude was recently featured in Personnel Today, sharing insight on Sue Gray’s much anticipated report into lockdown gatherings on government premises, which highlights officials’ excessive drinking while the rest of the country was in lockdown.

In the article Maude comments on the findings, stating that they will likely be challenged as the story continues to unfold, as expected with any high-profile investigation, but notes that Gray’s inclusion of photos within the report is a good record of evidence showing how and why she reached her conclusions. 

Maude relates the investigation back to the workplace: “Ultimately, what the Sue Gray investigation and report illustrates is that if you make the rules, you have to stand by them, whether in politics or business.”
