We direct our foreign associates in connection with preparing, filing, prosecuting and maintaining patents and trademarks for our clients’ international portfolios. We have long-established relationships with our associates, and receive reasonable and fair billings from them for the work that they perform for our clients. Typically, we pay our foreign associates directly and invoice our clients for the invoice amount received from our foreign associates. We regularly correspond with our associates to obtain cost estimates with respect to filing patent and trademark applications in their countries, and we very often are able to negotiate discounts for these services.
