The first hour of the presentation will be an overview of some of the business immigration basics. We will cover:
- Visa v. I94 v. EAD–the Lingo!
- Understanding the different business visa categories
- I-9 and E-Verify Compliance
This primer will serve as a foundation for the latter portion of the program.

A Deeper Dive: Key Business Immigration Updates & Important Implications
The latter part of the program will focus on trends and changes in:
- Nonimmigrant status processes
- Lawful permanent resident (green card) options
- Compliance requirements
- Insights on what the future might hold, and how your business will be impacted
We hope you will join us for the first, the second or both portions of the program before we head to the dock for a sunset reception and architectural boat tour along the Chicago River, led by a Chicago Architecture Foundation docent!
