Helen Biggin is a Partner in Vedder Price’s London office and a member of the firm’s Litigation practice area.
Ms. Biggin has experience representing corporate clients and financial institutions in complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation and arbitration, often involving reputationally sensitive matters. Her practice focuses on high-value commercial disputes, breach of contract claims, and fraud-related litigation.
Ms. Biggin has notable experience in aviation finance disputes, including litigation arising from breaches of aircraft lease agreements, aircraft delivery and technical claims, and repossession matters. She is a member of the legal advisory panel of the Aviation Working Group, a not-for-profit organization comprising major aviation manufacturers, leasing companies and financial institutions that influence global aviation finance and leasing regulations.
In addition to her aviation experience, Ms. Biggin has significant shipping litigation experience and was extensively involved in the litigation that followed the collapse of OW Bunkers, where she represented the Security Agent. As part of this matter, she was involved in numerous vessel arrests.
She has substantial trial experience before the English Commercial Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court as well as extensive arbitration experience, particularly under the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA) rules.
Ms. Biggin has also been recognized by Legal 500 UK as a Rising Star in the Commercial Litigation and Civil Fraud categories.
