Associate Fleming Ware Named Vice President of The Coalition of Women's Initiatives in Law - NYC Chapter
Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Litigation Associate and member of the firm’s New York office, Fleming Ware, has been elected as Vice President of the New York City chapter of The Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law.
Fleming is a member of the firm’s women attorney group and diversity and inclusion initiative, “Women at Vedder Empowering Success” (WAVES), demonstrating her commitment to the empowerment and development of female legal professionals. Her new role withing the Coalition will allow Fleming to further develop her leadership skills while helping lead initiatives to advance the legal careers of women attorneys within the organization.
Since joining the firm in 2015, Ms. Ware has focused her practice on commercial and financial services litigation, defending a variety of financial and commercial clients against claims and operational violations in both state and federal courts.
Composed of members from across law firms and organizations in Chicago, New York and Washington D.C., the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law is a non-profit membership association that aims to advance and support women attorneys through professional development and networking opportunities. Since the Coalition’s establishment in 2008, over 120 law firms have been associated with organization, leading a number of diversity and inclusion efforts, CLE programming and training opportunities to advance women’s careers in a traditionally male-dominated career path.
