Earlier today, Elizabeth N. Hall presented at a NISHRM (Northern Illinois Society for Human Resources) seminar regarding the legalization of recreational marijuana by numerous states across the country, including in Illinois. Libby discussed the impact of these laws, and those relating to medical marijuana, on the workplace; recent legal trends; and factors employers should consider when evaluating how to best wade through the thicket of federal law prohibiting, and state laws allowing, marijuana use.
