Vedder Price Shareholders to Speak at Corporate Jet & Helicopter Finance Americas 2013 Conference
Edward K. Gross and David M. Hernandez, Vedder Price Shareholders and member of the firm's Global Transportation Finance team, will speak at the Corporate Jet & Helicopter Finance Americas 2013 Conference being held September 9–11 in Miami, Florida.
Mr. Gross’s session, entitled “The Future for Non-Citizen Trusts,” will discuss the FAA’s recently announced moratorium on non-citizen trusts, including, the process so far and the June 2013 clarification. Additionally, the session will debate whether the proposals actually work in practice and if foreign owners should look at other jurisdictions. Related to the upcoming discussion on non-citizen trusts, Mr. Gross has authored a couple articles on the subject, including “Non-Citizen Trusts—What Industry Should Take from Recent FAA Public Meeting” and “FAA NCT Update.”
Mr. Hernandez’s session, entitled “Lessons (and Stories) From The Downturn: Repossession and Remarketing,” will address lessons to learn from the last five years and what will be remembered from the downturn.
