Dean Gerber and Kevin MacLeod to Speak at the Canadian Airline Investment Forum
Vedder Price Shareholders Dean N. Gerber and Kevin A. MacLeod will speak on panels at the 27th Annual Canadian Airline Investment Forum on June 14 and 15 in Toronto. The conference will focus on crucial issues affecting aviation finance and the future of Canadian aviation. The speakers, ranging from senior executives of airlines, aircraft manufacturers and financial institutions to partners at law firms, will provide in-depth insights and expert opinions on industry challenges and the latest market trends.
Mr. Gerber, Chair of the Global Transportation Finance team, will lead the “Cape Town in Practice” panel. He will discuss IR updates and how CTC Opinions differ from PPSA/FAA Opinions, and he will review the AWG Legal Panel Proforma Draft Opinion, among other topics.
As head of the firm’s New York Capital Markets group, Mr. MacLeod will speak on the panel addressing “The Future of Capital Market Deals.” This discussion will focus on recent developments in aviation capital markets including Air Canada’s recent EETC offerings, examine the benefits and challenges of accessing the capital markets and discuss whether EETCs may be issued by other Canadian airlines.
