David Brookes and Michael Edelman to Serve as Moderators at Marine Money Norway
David Brookes, a Partner in Vedder Price's London office and member of the firm's Global Transportation Finance team, along with New York Corporate practice area Shareholder Michael J. Edelman, will serve as Moderators at Marine Money's 18th Annual Norway Ship & Offshore Finance Forum in Oslo on May 25. Mr. Brookes and Mr. Edelman will moderate the session titled, "Lenders Panel Discussion." This session will address what leading lenders to the offshore sector are thinking and what options they’re considering, given the fact that lenders are still the primary source of capital for the offshore sector.
Mr. Brookes focuses his practice on banking, corporate lending and asset finance, and has extensive experience in the shipping and offshore sectors. He assists clients with a wide range of financial transactions, including structured finance and leasing, syndicated and bilateral loans, export credit structures, sales and leasebacks, and capital markets transactions, as well as associated matters such as joint ventures, sales and purchases, vessel registrations, and shipbuilding and rig construction contracts.
Mr. Edelman practices both the corporate and litigation sides of the bankruptcy and restructuring fields, and also has extensive experience in aircraft financings and aircraft asset dispositions. His practice involves all aspects of bankruptcy litigation, proceedings, negotiation and restructuring.
