Daniel Lange Elected Board President of Public Interest Law Initiative
Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Daniel Lange, a Shareholder in the firm’s Chicago office, has been elected as Board President of the Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI).
PILI is a Chicago-area legal aid organization known for its sponsorship of law students and graduates through its internship and fellowship opportunities, as well as its direct pro bono services provided across the State of Illinois.
Lange will serve as PILI Board President, continuing his over decade-long tenure on its Board of Directors, with PILI’s overall mission being to engage, inspire and empower those advancing equal access to justice.
“We are delighted to have Daniel elected into this role to help expand PILI’s reach both in the Chicago area and throughout the rest of Illinois,” said Patrick Spangler, Co-Chair of Vedder Price’s Pro Bono Committee and a member of PILI’s Board of Directors. “Daniel’s leadership and guidance will help PILI increase access to justice for underserved communities and individuals, and expand the pro bono and public interest opportunities available to attorneys and law students throughout our state.”
As a Shareholder in the Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits practice group at Vedder Price, Lange represents public and private commercial companies, investment funds, ESOP trustees and employees in structuring and implementing executive compensation packages, as well as broad-based equity and incentive compensation arrangements and identifying related compliance and reporting requirements.
Vedder Price is committed to providing pro bono legal services for those in need. “The firm looks forward to our continued participation in PILI’s pro bono graduate fellowship program, which is offered to all of our summer associates following their third-year of law school,” said Spangler. “This program has been essential to inspiring the next generation of pro bono leaders at the firm. And we look forward to expanding our relationship with PILI’s direct service opportunities with Daniel at the helm.”
