Dana Simaitis Armagno Elected Vedder Price Operating Shareholder
Vedder Price is pleased to announce the election of Dana Simaitis Armagno as Operating Shareholder, as well as a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2021.
In her role as Operating Shareholder, Ms. Armagno oversees the firm’s day-to-day management and operations teams. She also helps implement the strategy, vision and direction set by the firm’s CEO and Executive Committee.
“I am gratified to see Dana advance to become the firm’s Operating Shareholder and a member of our Executive Committee,” said Michael A. Nemeroff, President and CEO of Vedder Price. “She has earned this senior leadership role during her more than 25 years with the firm as a tenacious transactional lawyer and serving in various roles including Chair of the firm’s Associate Hiring Committee. Dana transitioned into a full-time management role with the firm in 2013, first as General Counsel and most recently as our Assistant Operating Shareholder.”
Ms. Armagno joined the firm in 1995 and was elevated to shareholder status in 2000. Prior to assuming her full-time firm management roles, Ms. Armagno was a member of the firm’s Finance & Transactions practice area where she counseled clients in a broad range of sophisticated corporate, private equity, M&A and structured finance matters. She earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and her B.S. in economics from the University of Illinois, Gies College of Business, cum laude.
