Dana Mehlman to Guest Lecture at University of Illinois
Dana B. Mehlman, member of Vedder Price’s Commercial Litigation and Environmental groups, will present as a guest lecturer at the University of Illinois on November 21, 2019.
Ms. Mehlman, herself a graduate of the University of Illinois Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) (B.S. 99, M.S. 01) and current member of the CEE Alumni Association Board of Directors, will speak in the graduate class CEE 524 – Construction Law. Her lecture, “Environmental and Safety Issues Pertaining to the Construction Industry,” will cover sources of environmental regulation and liability, minimizing environmental risk, environmentally friendly construction and construction safety.
Prior to joining Vedder Price, Ms. Mehlman worked as an Environmental Manager for the world’s largest fertilizer company, and previously served as a Geotechnical Engineer. Ms. Mehlman’s work experience and specialized education in environmental law combined with her interdisciplinary education and prior work experience in environmental engineering allows her to present a unique perspective to students.
