Candice Zee to Co-Chair Firm’s WAVES Women’s Affinity Group
Vedder Price is pleased to announce that Shareholder Candice Zee has been named a Co-Chair of the firm’s WAVES: Women at Vedder Empowering Success affinity group. Her primary responsibility will be to lead WAVES initiatives in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
“Candice brought a fresh and energetic perspective to our Labor & Employment group when she joined the firm last year,” said Diversity Committee Chair Jeanah Park. “And we are looking forward to the positive impact she will make on WAVES and the firm’s other diversity and inclusion initiatives.”
Ms. Zee focuses her practice on traditional labor issues, including unfair labor practice charges, interpretation of collective bargaining agreements, grievances, arbitrations and National Labor Relations Board proceedings. She has handled several union grievances, arbitrations and representation cases at all stages. She also represents and defends multi-state and international corporations on all aspects of employment litigation, including allegations of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, as well as workplace torts, including defamation, emotional distress and interference with contractual relations. She was named one of Southern California’s “Rising Stars” by Super Lawyers from 2009 to 2017.
“Two of the things I would like to focus on as part of WAVES are: further developing mentoring relationships among the women in the firm, and looking for more ways to partner with our clients on women’s initiatives,” said Zee.
