Amy Bess and Thomas Hancuch to Participate in PLI's Workplace Accommodation and Leave Challenges Conference 2019
Labor and Employment Chair Amy L. Bess and Shareholder Thomas G. Hancuch will speak at the Practising Law Institute's (PLI) Workplace Accommodation and Leave Challenges conference at the PLI New York Center on November 6. PLI's Workplace Accommodation and Leave Challenges program is designed for in-house counsel, agency representatives and HR professionals to share legal updates and practical insights on how to manage risk relating to decisions around leaves of absence and workplace accommodations.
Ms. Bess is Co-Chair of the conference and will provide opening remarks. She will also moderate the panel, “Emerging Issues Under the ADA and FMLA.” Her panel will cover EEOC policy and enforcement trends, emerging FMLA issues and strategies practitioners can use to identify reasonable accommodations for specific disabilities.
Mr. Hancuch will participate on a panel titled, "Process Considerations Relating to Thorny FMLA and ADA Issues." He and his co-panelists will discuss the ADA and undue hardship, intermittent leave challenges and other ADA and FMLA challenges that may arise.
