Amy Bess and Sadina Montani Receive Appreciation Award from the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington
Shareholder Amy L. Bess and Associate Sadina Montani, both members of Vedder Price's Labor & Employment practice area, will be honored by the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington (POB) at its 30th annual Night of Vision gala on March 19 in Washington, DC. In recognition of the employment-related pro bono legal services Ms. Bess and Ms. Montani provide to POB, the organization is recognizing them with its Appreciation Award. POB presents its Appreciation Award to those who have demonstrated a dedication to the organization as well as providing many contributions to the cause of better vision.
POB was originally founded in 1936 and is the largest local blindness prevention agency in the United States. POB provides comprehensive eye health care services to individuals throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Each year, POB screens more than 8,000 children for vision loss and strabismus and thousands of adults for glaucoma. POB also serves thousands of low-income and homeless individuals at its eyeglasses clinic each year.
